Muslimin Seuksa School. Amphor Bangklam. Songkhla Province

muslimeen Seuksa School’s Background

Muslimin Seuksa School was established in 1957 as a " Poa-noa' " (School of education and training of Islamic Principles).  Operated at the house number 106 Moo 3, Tambon Tha Chang, Had- Yai District, Songkhla Province. It was a single storey wooden building which was built under the cooperation of the Din-laan villagers. Mr. Haji Donlah Mukem was the manager and the Religious teacher.

After 6 years of teaching Religious subjects, later in 1969 Hadyai District has made a study on all Poa-noa’ in Hadyai in which from then Muslimin Seuksa School has been registered as an Islamic School and Mr. Haji Donlah Mukem was assigned as a manager. Mr. Sen Ahmad Adam was the headmaster and there were about 40 students attending the class.

Subsequently, on August 9, 1970, the school and the people of Din-laan united to build a new school building by organizing a charity fair to raise fund. After that, they completed the construction of the new building on June 6, 1971 and used it as a school building on December 15, 1971. We then applied for  an establishment of a school under the article of Poa-noa’ Improvement section 20 regarding “Adult Education Programs” by the Ministry of Education; teaching Arabic, Islamic Studies and Secular Subjects which was carried out in 1971 for a period of time and the operation ceased due to some reasons.

Later in 1999, the school management was transferred to Mr. Yusof Mad-adam as a licensee and Mr. Muktas as a manager. In the same year, we asked for permission of a transformation of School from Section 15 (2) to a school under section 15 (1) of Islamic private schools with secular subjects on April 28, 2004. We taught in the level of Secondary education. There were 64 students in grade 7 during that year.

On June 5, 2006, Mr. Yusof Mad-adam, the licensee, had transferred the management of the School to the “Muslimin Foundation for Education” in which Mr. Yusof Mad-adam was the person who countersigned on behalf of the true licensee.

In 2007, Muslimin Seuksa School had been permitted to extend its curriculum up to the fourth range; from Grade 7 to Grade 12 and has been carrying on the activities of teaching and learning until today.

In the Academic year of 2011, Muslimin Seuksa School has extended its curriculum; class 1 - 3 in Kindergarten level, class 1-6 in Primary level but there will be only grade 1 to grade 3 available in this year and in the future we will have a full range of classes from kindergarten up to Grade 12 in 2014.
